Rod received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (A.B., 1977) and his law degree from Hastings College of the Law (University of California) (J.D., 1983). In addition, he holds a Masters in Law, specializing in taxation, from New York University (LL.M., 1989).

His practice focuses on business, corporate, transactional and tax counseling; representation in tax collection and litigation matters; estate planning; and probate and conservator matters.

Rod is involved in the Tax Sections of the California Bar Association and Orange County Bar Association, as well as the Orange Coast Estate Planning Council. He also serves on the Board of Easter Seals of Southern California.
